Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE) Safety Standards
Effective date: 20-09-2025
At Alerten, the safety of children and vulnerable people is a top priority. This page describes the standards, procedures, and commitments we have published to prevent, detect, and respond to any instances of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) within our platform.
1. Zero-Tolerance Policy
We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for content or behaviour that sexualizes, exploits, or abuses children. Any content or accounts found to be in violation will be removed and reported to the appropriate authorities.
2. Prohibited Content
- Sexual content involving minors or persons who are or appear to be under 18 years old.
- Solicitation of sexual activity with minors or grooming behaviours.
- Distribution, possession, or linking to child sexual exploitation material (CSEM/CSAE materials).
3. Reporting & Escalation
If users encounter content or behaviour that may involve CSAE, they must report it immediately through the in-app report button or via email to our dedicated safety team.
- In-app reporting: Use the "Report" action on any alert to flag for moderation.
- Email: support@alerten.org
- Emergency response: If a child is believed to be in imminent danger, contact local emergency services immediately and then notify our team.
4. External Resources & Hotlines
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. For non-emergency support and reporting, use the following resources:
- U.S.: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) – missingkids.org
- UK: Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) – iwf.org.uk
- Global: ICMEC and local child-protection hotlines
5. Contact & Report Channels
- Report in-app via the report button on any piece of content or profile.
- Email our safety team: support@alerten.org
6. Continuous Improvement
We regularly review our CSAE prevention measures and update this policy as technology, law, and best practices evolve. Feedback can be sent to support@alerten.org.
